13-15 November 2018, Barcelona. Established in 2011, the Smart City Expo World Congress looks at how to improve life in cities. The 2018 edition looks to technology, urban planning, mobility, governance and inclusivity to build livable cities. Topics for discussion will include gentrification and the sharing economy with a focus on growing cities’ resilience and openness. Alongside the plenary discussions will be a vibrant exhibition hall which will feature ‘smart’ or technologically-focused solutions for livable cities. This is the leading event for cities worldwide and supports city development irrespective of cities’ differences. Among the participants will be governments, companies, entrepreneurs, researchers and local government officials. The focus of the 2018 event will be building liveable urban environments. This is extremely timely as the UN projects that by 2050, 70% of the world’s population will live in cities.
CDP is an international organisation, with regional offices and local partners spanning 50 countries. There are now companies, cities, states and regions from over 90 countries that disclose to CDP.
