Tuesday, June 5, 2018 3:00 pm BST. CDP’s forests program is expanding to look at how metals & mining companies are managing impacts and realising opportunities within forests and biodiversity. We are developing a new questionnaire which companies will be invited to respond to in 2019. This free webinar will discuss how, in the context of resource-depletion and increased demand, mining activities are more likely to move into remote and ecologically sensitive areas, increasing biodiversity risks and the importance managing those risks. The speakers will be Thomas Maddox (Senior Technical Specialist, Fauna & Flora International) and Susanne Schmitt (Extractives & Infrastructure Manager, WWF), while the webinar will be moderated by Eugenie Mathieu (Senior SRI Analyst, Aviva Investors).
CDP is an international organisation, with regional offices and local partners spanning 50 countries. There are now companies, cities, states and regions from over 90 countries that disclose to CDP.
