Disclose Data
Action starts with disclosure. All organizations – large and small – need to measure and understand their environmental risks, opportunities and impacts. Data surfaced through disclosure helps organizations take Earth-positive action and smart decisions to support their commercial interests.

Each year, entities and organizations disclose key environmental data through CDP.
Disclosers include:
Companies (including SMEs), requested by CDP Capital Market Signatories or Supply Chain members, as well as Self-Selected Companies who disclose without having received an official request
Cities
States and regions
Public authorities
These entities disclose by responding to the CDP questionnaire, and receive a score based on the information in their response.

Why disclose?
Environmental disclosure is an essential tool to build resilient business models by illuminating risks and identifying untapped opportunities for growth.
More, and better, information creates an accurate picture of progress and enables organizations to build robust plans for action and to make Earth-positive decisions.

How to disclose
CDP provides support to disclosers at each step of their disclosure journey including step-by-step guidance on how to disclose and supporting materials.
You can also find more in-depth guidance and raise a case with our Support team via the CDP Help Center, as well as find the latest questionnaire, reporting guidance and scoring methodologies in the CDP Portal.

Our question bank
In 2024, we combined our previous three questionnaires into one integrated questionnaire so disclosers can respond across multiple environmental issues in one place and take a holistic approach to environmental management.
There are several versions of the CDP questionnaire:
Full corporate questionnaire;
SME questionnaire, a shorter simplified version of the full corporate questionnaire for SMEs;
Cities questionnaire; and
States and regions questionnaire.
