How We Are Funded
CDP’s funding comes from a combination of government and philanthropic grants and a mission-complementary fee for service (‘F4S’ activities) including disclosure admin fees, memberships and data sales. The charts below illustrate the high-level split between these sources of income.
In the financial year April 2024 to March 2025, CDP was comprised of three primary entities globally:
CDP Worldwide, with headquarters in London, is the largest in terms of headcount, with further operations in Brazil, Mainland China, India, Indonesia, Japan and Singapore. Operations in South Korea and Türkiye are carried out through local partners in these regions.
North America is served through a legally separate independent 501c3 exempt corporation registered in Delaware and based in New York City, New York, USA (CDP North America, Inc.).
Europe is served through a legally separate charity based in Brussels (CDP Europe AISBL) with two subsidiaries registered in Germany (CDP Worldwide Europe gGmbH and CDP Europe Services GmbH).

Changes in the April 2025 to March 2026 financial year: CDP closed its offices in India and Indonesia. Meanwhile, CDP Europe AISBL was incorporated into CDP Worldwide. Our reporting for the current financial year will contain more detailed information regarding our European operations (to be published in January 2027).
