2024 was a challenging year for CDP and many of our stakeholders. While we worked to modernize our systems, unforeseen technology issues, the scale of work required, and ongoing fixes negatively impacted the reporting cycle and caused operational challenges for our stakeholders.

Throughout the 2024 cycle, we made continuous efforts to improve the experience for organizations, such as better signposting, improved organization search functionality, and in-Portal guidance.

However, the technological challenges extended the 2024 delivery cycle into 2025, delaying the release of CDP scores and data products.

As we continue to put the feedback we have received over the last 12 months at the heart of our long-term improvement plan, CDP is prioritizing stability and core functionality delivery for the Portal, ensuring users have a more stable and reliable experience that ultimately drives impact.

This focus on stability and core functionality delivery underpins our decision to make only limited changes to the questionnaire and scoring methodology in 2025 while providing improved support through detailed guidance and training for our account managers.

While we cannot guarantee that no unexpected hurdles will arise in the coming weeks, we are working to reduce the risk of having to shift timelines any further.

Should any unforeseen issues occur, we will provide timely, clear and transparent updates.

Providing a sandbox environment and updated technical documentation for our Accredited Solutions Providers to allow them to test their connections to update responses without disrupting internal workflows

Portal homepage and navigation enhancements, including clearer guidance for parent company submissions.

Organization search and list management with improved search functionality and reduced organization duplication, enabling easier search for organizations to add to your requests.

Enhanced payment and invoicing capabilities, enhanced look and feel, and updated features in the portal.

Simplified Register to Disclose form with clearer user instructions, available from the 18th of June.

Questionnaire enhancements, including one-click editing of matrix cells, multi-line rich text input with line breaks, auto-expanding matrix fields, and truncated overflowing text, for improved and faster user experience.

Things to look out for

After April 23, your 2024 requests and responses will no longer be accessible or downloadable.

Please ensure you download any necessary data from the portal before April 22.

Learn more about exporting your questionnaire response from the CDP Portal.

As part of the 2025 cycle setup, you will need to identify a Submission Lead for your organization (designated 2024 Leads will revert to Discloser Contributors in the Portal so that you can ensure any internal changes to roles and responsibilities are reflected). A new Submission Lead must be assigned in the Portal and they will need to accept the 2025 Disclosure terms. You won’t be able to submit your response without a Submission Lead, so please do review and update your account as soon as possible.

Supply Chain Member Account Managers will be able to enable these upon request
