CDP and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the UN’s blueprint for a more sustainable future for all. Their adoption put environmental degradation, sustainability, climate change, and water security under the international spotlight.
CDP has been actively involved in the SDG agenda since 2015, when the SDG compass was launched by the Global Reporting Initiative, the UN Global Compact, and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, culminating in the report, ‘Business Reporting on the SDGs: An Analysis of the Goals and Targets’.
By disclosing through CDP, companies can contribute towards and track progress against the SDGs. Meanwhile governments can use this data to track national progress and develop related policy.
