The transition to a decarbonized society aimed at achieving net-zero emissions is one of the greatest challenges facing the entire global community. Corporate responsibilities and risks extend beyond the individual group to encompass the entire supply chain, and collaboration within that supply chain extends beyond climate change to include nature and planetary boundaries.

Greenhouse gas emissions in the supply chain (Scope 3 upstream) are said to be, on average, 11.4 times higher than the emissions from a company's own activities (Scope 1 + Scope 2). In order to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees, companies are now more than ever required to involve their suppliers in their efforts. Furthermore, environmental issues such as water security and forest conservation are closely linked to climate change, and addressing these issues simultaneously is essential for the survival of companies and, ultimately, humanity.

This event will invite companies that are using CDP's disclosure platform to engage with their suppliers, and will share the latest trends in supply chain engagement. Lectures and panel discussions will focus not only on climate change but also on nature-related initiatives. Following the program, a reception with light refreshments will be held to provide participants with an opportunity to network and exchange information.
