This salon will explore what a new model of rainforest protection could look like, moving beyond traditional conservation approaches toward ones that recognize forests and forest communities as critical to a changing climate.
The conversation will bring together perspectives from Indigenous and local leadership, philanthropy, technology and finance to consider how we can invest in the people, systems and innovations that enable forests to continue doing what the planet needs them to do.
Rather than prescribing a single model, the session will invite participants to help shape the question: what should the next generation of climate funding look like, and how will we build it?
