Blue Transparency: driving change using corporate disclosure
An official UN Ocean Conference Side Event co-hosted by CDP and Norges Bank Investment Management.

A sustainable ocean economy requires decision-ready corporate data. Yet, the absence of a standardized framework for tracking ocean-related impacts has led to limited corporate transparency and critical data gaps that hinder effective decision-making.
CDP, the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system, is committed to tackling this problem. This session will explore the introduction of ocean-related disclosure with a “write once, ready many” approach at its core, empowering companies to build resilience, access capital and reduce impact. It will convene commentary and debate from CDP, Norges Bank Investment Management, TNFD, UNEP FI and other leading organisations. Drawing on the experience of driving disclosure on climate, forests and freshwater, we will explore its ability to drive innovation, shift capital flows and transform business practices.
