CDP’s accredited solutions providers help companies to take measurable environmental action, offering a range of services across a variety of sustainability issues. Amongst them are providers of independent, third-party verification services, sustainability software platforms, science-based target setting services, renewable energy solutions and more.
As we enter the last month of CDP’s 2020 disclosure cycle, we are encouraged to see that sustainability is still firmly on the corporate agenda, despite the disruption and uncertainty of the past few months as COVID-19 (coronavirus) has rocked the world. Last month CDP ran a virtual global workshop series which featured inspiring thought leadership on talks and panels, as well as practical deep dives into best practice environmental action. We are proud to have worked with our accredited solutions providers to deliver this successful series, and we will continue to work with our providers to support companies in their environmental journeys.
2020 has seen a huge growth in our accredited solutions provider network, with our number of providers increasing by over 25%. We are particularly pleased to have welcomed on board several new providers in East and South-East Asia. Asia currently has the second-highest number of companies in the world committed to set Science-based Targets or with already validated targets; we hope to work with our providers to further accelerate action and ambition in the region.
