Job purpose and background
CDP North America is seeking an individual to join its Reporter Services team and manage key Reporter Services accounts. Reporter Services is a membership program that provides dedicated support to a limited group of responding companies, helping them build internal expertise in managing issues related to climate change. This person will be responsible for providing deliverables related to supporting member understanding of CDP’s guidance and scoring methodologies, as well as helping members utilize CDP data to benchmark against their peers and learn best practices. This role will report to the manager of the Reporter Services team.
Key responsibilities
- Managing Reporter Services deliverables for member accounts (20+ companies), including annual goal setting and tracking delivery of member benefits
- Securing new Reporter Services memberships, as well as renewals with existing members
- Deepening relationships with members, including generating and furthering relevant opportunities for CDP initiatives managed by other teams
- Coordinating relevant communications to members
- Contributing to annual planning and service/product development
- Representing CDP through networking and speaking engagements at sustainability and sector-related conferences
- Project management across global Reporter Services program areas, such as data product development, marketing and sales, and/or events
Required skills and experience
- A university degree in a related subject
- At least two years of related work experience
- Excellent engagement and communication skills, strong ability to pitch services, and advanced planning skills
- The ability to understand company needs, identify opportunities, and act on this information
- Advanced knowledge of sustainability issues, specifically related to climate change, water security, and/or commodity-linked deforestation
- The ability to come up to speed quickly and independently with technical information (such as CDP's guidance and scoring methodology) and apply this information to company responses
Desired skills and experience
- Keen interest in global and regional corporate reporting and disclosure
- Accurately communicating technical information in a concise, yet comprehensive manner
- Familiarity with MS Office, CRM, and analytics platforms, with ability to master new systems
- Attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills
- The drive to take ownership and responsibility for particular areas of work
- The desire and ability to improve and streamline processes to better and more efficiently achieve program goals, rather than follow the status quo
- The ability to meet deadlines under pressure
This is a full-time role based at CDP’s New York office in Manhattan. CDP’s annual disclosure cycle runs from February to July, the most critical availability period for this role. Interested applicants must be eligible to work legally in the US.
