Job Purpose and Background
Are you looking for a role that combines your experience in the financial sector and your personal ethics? We are seeking an experienced account manager to join us in our multi- award-winning investor team. The role will involve building relationships with key investors to disseminate environmental information particularly focusing on issues concerning Forests. You will have a passion for the environment and experience in reading and disseminating research. We are looking for someone who has experience working in the financial sector but is ready for a new challenge working for an ethical employer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Targeting and developing relationships with key investors and banks to disseminate analysis and insights provided from sector research reports produced by the Investor Research Team.
- Effectively communicating specific sector analysis on in-depth reports which have evaluated corporate performance related to Forest Risk Commodities (FRCs) and other key climate and water issues.
- Raise the profile of the research in establishing industry-level thinking including benchmarking methods, metrics and key strategies to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Actively engage with investors, organizing investor roadshows with major investors as well as organize workshops and roundtables to increase awareness of sector report findings among investors, companies, industry bodies and regulators.
- Remain abreast of investment trends in Environment Social Governance (ESG) particularly related to FRCs and feeding information back to CDP management and the wider investor research team.
- Work in collaboration with the Investor Initiatives team in conjunction with any shareholder activity related to changing corporate behavior related to the use of FRCs in order to reduce deforestation.
- Providing feedback from investors on the research product and identifying new areas of analysis which includes conducting an annual survey with key investors.
Required skills and experience:
- Experience of working within a financial markets related sales or marketing role, ideally with five years’ experience in the financial sector.
- Exceptional sales and marketing skills with the ability to develop high level relationships with key global investors.
- Strong communication skills and ability to draw key messages out of complex research and communicate research findings to both internal and external audiences including investors.
- An understanding of capital markets and the investment management industry with a passion for sustainable investment.
- Experience liaising with contacts at pension funds, insurance companies and investment managers
- Experience of organizing roadshows and/or conferences and events that will enable investors to interact with corporates based on key findings of research reports.

This is a full-time role for a two-year fixed term contract based at CDP’s Central London office reporting to CDP’s Head of Investor Research and Global Head of Investor Initiatives.
Salary and benefits: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, annual discretionary bonus, 24 days’ holiday (increasing to 30), generous non-contributory pension provision, life assurance, opportunity to work flexibly, training and development opportunities, Central London office location and others.
