While substantial progress has been made in corporate disclosure around water issues, companies’ reliance on this precious resource is increasing at a time when water security around the world is worsening.
This report finds that:
- Acting to improve water security remains a fundamental business imperative for many companies;
- Eight businesses from four sectors have joined the CDP Water A List for their approach to water management;
- Corporate water stewardship is becoming better understood, and leaders are emerging;
- Tackling water challenges remains a CSR issue and action is urgently needed to close the gap; and
- Water stewardship offers clear benefits to at-risk companies.
