  • Conducting desk studies and working in collaboration with several teams to draft new sector-specific questions and reporting guidance for real estate, construction materials and capital goods sectors;
  • Analysing response data in Excel to inform the questionnaire revisions and new development;
  • Writing and proof-reading reporting guidance and other technical documents;
  • Supporting the Technical Manager in running external working groups and managing stakeholder relationships;
  • Inputting questionnaires and guidance into CDP’s online systems and supporting IT testing if required;
  • Responding to internal technical queries on the climate change questionnaire and guidance;
  • Preparing presentations and presenting information to colleagues and companies.

Required skills and experience:

  • A relevant academic qualification and/or 2 years+ of professional experience in a climate change-related role;
  • The ability to understand, organize and analyse qualitative and quantitative data using Excel;
  • The ability to present complex information in a simple and concise way;
  • Strong communication skills including an excellent standard of written English;
  • Proficiency in producing PowerPoint presentations;
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with an ability to work effectively under pressure, whilst still paying attention to detail and maintaining strategic overview;

Desirable skills (one or more of the following would be an advantage):

  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting standards;
  • Good understanding of or experience in real estate, construction materials and/or capital goods sectors;
  • Familiarity with the CDP climate change questionnaire;
  • Previous experience with environmental reporting frameworks;
  • Advanced level of Excel data analysis skills.

This is a full-time role based at CDP’s Central London office reporting to the Technical Manager, Climate Change and Supply Chain.

The successful candidate will be provided with a contract for a fixed term of 12 months.

Salary and benefits: £27-30k per annum, annual discretionary bonus, 24 days’ holiday (increasing to 30), generous non-contributory pension provision, life assurance and others.
