Job purpose and background

Are you passionate about working to prevent dangerous climate change, halt deforestation and champion water security? CDP is seeking a dedicated, mission-driven Partnerships Executive to join the Partnerships team at CDP. This role represents an excellent opportunity for an individual early in their career in sustainability, or for someone looking to move into corporate sustainability from the NGO perspective.

In this varied role, you will be based in the CDP’s London office and will support the wider Partnerships team in in growing, developing and delivering the Accredited Solutions Provider program globally. You will also play a key role in organising CDP UK & Worldwide events and support our academic data partnership program.

CDP’s Accredited Solutions Provider program connects our base of thousands of disclosing companies with the providers that can support their environmental measurement, management, and leadership efforts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting colleagues with the academic data partnership program, whereby we sell and deliver CDP’s environmental data to universities;
  • Helping to organise CDP events for key stakeholders in the UK and Worldwide region.
  • Administrative support for CDP’s broader partnerships team, particularly around events/webinars and related deliverables;
  • Responsibility for ad hoc projects as required by line-manager.

The precise description and nature of your job may be varied from time to time and you may be required to carry out other duties as necessary to meet business needs.

Required skills and experience:

  • Ability to multitask and juggle projects simultaneously, with a very high level of organisation and attention to detail;
  • Proven success in providing effective administrative support;
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role, working in NGOs and/or commercial organisations (Desirable)
  • Interest/knowledge in issues related to the climate change, sustainability, environmental, and corporate social responsibility space;
  • Ability to work with global colleagues and develop strong relationships across multiple teams and time zones.
  • Excellent MS Office Suite skills (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.);
  • Experience of helping to organise events, either virtual or in-person (Desirable)
  • Degree educated or equivalent (Environment/Sustainability- related degree desirable)
  • Experience of working in a global organisation (Desirable)
  • Additional language skills (Desirable)

This is a full-time 12 months fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover within the Partnerships team. It is based at CDP’s Central London office reporting to the Global Head of Value Chains and Regional Director Corporations.

Salary and benefits: £26,000 - £28,000, per annum, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, generous non-contributory pension provision, annual discretionary bonus (depending on company performance), Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, Training and development, Flexible working opportunities and other benefits.
