Corporate Engagement Officer

Job Purpose and Background in summary

Are you passionate about the environment? Are you looking for a role where you can support and drive corporate action on climate change? CDP is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join CDP’s corporate engagement team in Hong Kong. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team that engages with companies in the Asia Pacific region on disclosure requirements relating to climate change, water security, and deforestation. This role will report to the Corporations and Supply Chains Manager at CDP Hong Kong.

Through this role, you will engage with and support companies in Australia and New Zealand in their environmental disclosures through CDP. You will also be responsible for increasing memberships to CDP’s programs by developing leads and pitching relevant programs.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Engage directly with companies in Australia and New Zealand to encourage and support their environmental disclosure to CDP questionnaires;
  • Increase membership of CDP programs, including Reporter Services and Supply Chain, by identifying and pursuing leads to pitch relevant programs.
  • Support companies in the CDP disclosure process by answering technical queries and managing accounts in our CRM system.
  • Production and delivery of regional reports, workshops, webinars, and events;
  • Support the Corporations and Supply Chains Manager, Hong Kong, on ad hoc projects and carry out any other work that supports CDP’s operations and international presence, as required.

This role profile is not exhaustive and is subject to review in conjunction with the yearly performance review cycle.

The precise description of your job may be varied from time to time and you may be required to carry out other duties as necessary to meet business needs

Required experience and skills:

Essential:

  • BA/BSc degree or similar;
  • 1-2 years of work experience in the corporate or NGO world, with a focus on corporate sustainability issues and/or reporting;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Share-point)
  • Familiar with CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft dynamics) is an advantage.
  • Excellent English skills (verbal and written), fluency in Korean, Thai, or another South-east Asian language is an advantage;
  • Keen interest in corporate sustainability
  • Strong attention to detail and planning skills;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Proactive attitude and taking ownership and responsibility for your own work.

Salary and benefits: salary is dependent on experience however our starting salary is HKD250,000.00 per annum. As well as this we provide an annual discretionary bonus, 24 days holidays+ public holidays, the opportunity to work flexibly and many others.The candidate will work 5 days per week.
