Cathay United Bank is leveraging CDP disclosure data to gain deeper insight into clients' sustainability performance, support better-informed financial decisions, and deliver targeted sustainable finance solutions.

As the first financial institution in Asia to join **CDP's Corporate Banking Program**, Cathay United Bank has been working with CDP since 2023 to promote environmental transparency and help companies strengthen their sustainability capabilities.

Together, they have supported over **200** **companies **on their disclosure journey, improving access to sustainability data and enabling more informed decision-making for both businesses and the bank. 

For Cathay United Bank, environmental disclosure provides valuable insights into clients' sustainability performance and transition readiness, helping the bank better assess risks, identify opportunities, and support the transition to a low-carbon economy.

## Data informs tangible actions

With CDP data, Cathay United Bank has been able to:

- gain deeper visibility into clients' sustainability performance and transition readiness;
- strengthen climate-related risk assessment and support better-informed lending decisions;
- identify companies taking meaningful action on decarbonization and sustainability;
- deliver more targeted sustainability-linked loans and green financing solutions; and
- encourage corporate climate action by linking sustainability performance with financial incentives.
