Partnerships Project Officer, UK & Worldwide (Maternity Cover)

Job purpose and background

Are you passionate about working to prevent dangerous climate change, halt deforestation and champion water security? CDP is seeking a dedicated, mission-driven Partnerships Project Officer to join the Partnerships team at CDP. The London based Partnership team works with partners in the UK and other regions including Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Russia and works closely with our global counterparts. In this varied role, you will support the growth, development and delivery of CDP’s Accredited Solutions Providers program, working closely with global teams across the organisation to do so.

CDP’s Accredited Solutions Provider program connects our base of thousands of disclosing companies with the providers that can support their environmental measurement, management, and leadership efforts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support with the delivery of key partnership communications and reports throughout the year, such as our annual Stories of Change report.
  • Updating of partnerships materials as and when needed (e.g. brochures, sales decks)
  • Coordination of global partner webinars.
  • Administrative support of partnerships team and wider UK & Worldwide Corporations and Supply Chains team.
  • Supporting 1.5°C and decarbonization campaigns.
  • Responsibility for ad hoc projects as required by line-manager.

The precise description and nature of your job may be varied from time to time and you may be required to carry out other duties as necessary to meet business needs.

Required skills and experience:

  • Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail;
  • Keen interest in issues related to the climate change, sustainability, environmental, and corporate social responsibility space;
  • Ability to work with global colleagues and develop strong internal relationships across multiple teams and time zones;
  • Excellent MS Office Suite skills (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.);
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, working in NGOs and/or commercial organisations (Desirable);
  • Experience of working in a global organisation (Desirable);
  • Additional language skills (Desirable).

This is a full-time 12 months fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover within the Partnerships team. It is based at CDP’s Central London office reporting to the Global Head of Value Chains and Regional Director Corporations.

Salary and benefits: £22000 - £25,000, per annum, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, generous non-contributory pension provision, annual discretionary bonus (depending on company performance), Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, Training and development, Flexible working opportunities and other benefits.
