Digital Communications Executive, Science Based Targets Initiative

Job Purpose and Background

Are you passionate about communications and the environment? Are you looking for a role that uses your digital communications and content-creation skills to make a difference?

CDP has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Digital Communications Executive to join the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Communications team. You will be based in CDP’s Communications and Marketing team in our London headquarters.

The SBTi is a worldwide initiative that motivates companies to set ambitious targets to cut their greenhouse emissions.

You will be responsible for creating, coordinating and promoting content on the SBTi’s digital channels and updating the SBTi website, to achieve the overall goals of the initiative.

About the Science Based Targets initiative

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) mobilizes companies to set science-based targets and boost their competitive advantage in the transition to the low-carbon economy. It is a partnership between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and one of the We Mean Business Coalition commitments. The initiative defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting, offers resources and guidance to reduce barriers to adoption, and independently assesses and approves companies’ targets. www.sciencebasedtargets.org @sciencetargets

  • Assist with the production, editing and design of promotional and technical materials, including reports, brochures, guides and infographics
  • Support with brand-checks and the development and implementation of brand guidelines
  • Ensure all content is produced in line with SBTi messaging and branding
  • Liaise with communications counterparts in partner organizations to promote and amplify content

The precise description and nature of your role may be varied from time and you may be required to carry out other duties as necessary.

This is a full-time role reporting to the SBTi’s Senior Content Manager. Initially the role will be remote-based due to COVID-19, with the expectation to work from CDP’s London office when restrictions allow.
