Bridging low carbon technologies
In this report, we launch CDP’s League Table that ranks 22 of the largest (by market capitalization) and highest-emitting capital goods companies. This report assesses which companies are preparing for a transition to a low carbon economy.
Capital goods companies are investing in new technologies such as microgrids, hybrid renewables and energy storage.
Electrification is the biggest opportunity for the capital goods sector.
Scope 3 accounts for over 90% of sector emissions, however corporate disclosure and management of these emissions are poor.
