CDP North America is seeking two individuals for a fast-paced fellowship program in its New York City office. These fellows will be integral in forming and executing an outreach strategy for facilitating CDP disclosure from North American corporations with the largest environmental impact. Fellows will be responsible for building relationships with corporate sustainability and investor relations professionals at a range of seniority levels, and should be comfortable discussing a variety of sustainability topics including natural resource disclosure, corporate sustainability, socially-responsible investing and carbon accounting. Key responsibilities:

  • Secure participation in CDP programs (Climate Change, Water Security and/or Forests) through phone calls and email support

  • Support all engagement-related initiatives and offer support to sector leads and CDP team leaders

  • Familiarity with business implications to private sector companies represented by climate change, water use and/or deforestation (such as issues associated with timber, palm oil, soy and/or cattle products)
  • The ability to come up to speed on technical information quickly and independently and be able to communicate complex information in a digestible way with an understanding of the broader implications
  • Strong writing skills: must be able to accurately impart information in a concise yet comprehensive manner
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • The drive to take ownership and responsibility for specific areas of work
  • The ability to spot trends and opportunities as well as focus on details
  • The desire and ability to improve and streamline processes to better and more efficiently achieve program goals, rather than follow the status quo
  • The ability to meet deadlines under pressure
