Christoph Schröder, Ph.D. (Chair)
Christoph Schröder, Ph.D. is a former trustee of CDP Worldwide (2009 – 2013). In his industrial career he held a variety of international management positions in the pharmaceutical industry as senior executive with BASF Pharma - finally as president of global production, sourcing and supply chain. He supported the sale of the BASF’s Pharma business to ABBOTT Labs., Ill completed in 2001. Following his private move from London to Berlin, he since then has established a solid track record of over 15 ys as a Private Equity Investor in Healthcare & mid caps – initially with TVM CAPITAL and ODEWALD. Since several years he is co-owner of a private investment firm in the German Mittelstand – and serves on various boards as non-executive director. Chris lives in Berlin, married with four children.
Morgan Gillespy
Morgan Gillespy is the Programme Director of the Food and Land Use Coalition at World Resources Institute. In this role, she provides strategic leadership to the coalition, working collaboratively across the FOLU network to advance the FOLU agenda with governments, the private sector, financial institutions, and civil society.
Prior to this, Morgan spent seven years at CDP where she worked across its Technical, Supply Chain, Water and Forests programs. She was named Head of Water Security in 2016 was Global Director, Forests from 2017 - 2020. CDP provides the world’s only platform for the largest companies, cities, states and regions in the world to disclose vital environmental data. As Global Director, she focused on driving disclosure, transparency and action on the topic of deforestation to improve environmental performance, risks and resiliency, and access to data used by investors, companies and policy makers in key decision making.
She holds an MSc in Environmental Technology form Imperial College London, specializing in Environmental Assessment and Analysis.
Armin Sandhoevel, Ph.D.
Armin is a green finance pioneer with a track record in developing, promoting, fundraising for and investing in market mechanisms to fight environmental issues and is driven by his lifelong passion for protecting nature and environment.
He has covered for more than eight years as the global CIO for Infrastructure Equity of Allianz Global Investors impact related Green infrastructure topics and he was responsible for the development of corresponding products for third party investors. His track record shows several successfully closed fund vehicles with a cumulative capacity of more than 1 GW in Europe and in the US.
Before Armin joined Allianz Global Investors, he founded Allianz Climate Solutions in 2007 - the global competence center of the Allianz Group with respect to climate as well as cleantech matters - and acted as its CEO for 7 consecutive years. For Allianz, he set up a carbon-related portfolio investing in emerging markets which Allianz is managing to date and which serves the carbon neutralization strategy of the Allianz Group.
Previously, he had been Head of Carbon Risk and had led the risk management of renewable energy at Dresdner Bank AG.
Before this change Armin had been for more than six years a project manager of the German Council of Environmental Advisors, an official think tank of the German Government. In this role he coordinated special reports with a great variety, including energy issues, export credit guarantees, air pollution, waste management, water pollution, nature protection and biodiversity. Until today, he advises national and international institutions. Last but not least, he is Counselor of the German Chapter of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and a board member of the Energy Awards. Armin holds a PhD in environmental and resource economics.
