CDP is looking for a motivated, talented and passionate Data Analyst to join our Data Team based in our New York City office. The position holder will play a key role in the quality review and curation of climate action data and other target-related data points, working to deliver data requirement on a number of climate action projects, including the UNFCCC’s NAZCA platform. The Targets Data Analyst will work to develop, refine and implement methods for the systematic quality review of corporate targets data and apply the results to develop value-adding analyses. This will require consuming data from external as well as internal sources and helping to maintain a robust data architecture. S/he will also support in the dissemination of data and findings, helping CDP’s stakeholders get the most out of these. The successful candidate will have experience cleaning and analyzing large dataset within the R environment and will be driven to help solve global environmental problems using the power of data.
The position will be for 8 months initially, with the possibility of renewal at that time.
About CDP’s Data Team
The Data Team is part of the wider Impact & Insights team. Its primary remit is to improve the usability of the corporate climate change, water security and forests data and cities, states & regions data disclosed to CDP by developing and applying robust and transparent methods for data cleaning and modelling. It supplements this work with harmonized data collected from external sources and seeks to enhance accessibility for CDP’s stakeholders. Additional to this, the team produces value-adding analyses that help internal and external stakeholders better understand these vital environmental data, and make better decisions from them.
