Senior Project Officer, Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

CDP is seeking a dedicated Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement Officer to join our team in Hong Kong. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team that engages with companies in the Asia Pacific region. In this varied role, you will be based in the CDP’s Hong Kong office and will support the Partnerships and Corporate Engagement teams. You will be helping to grow and support the Accredited Solutions Provider program for regional partners, as well as play an instrumental role in organising events and project coordination within Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand regions to strengthen CDP’s relationships.

You will report to Manager, Corporate Engagement at CDP Hong Kong.

CDP’s Accredited Solutions Provider program connects our base of thousands of disclosing companies with the providers that can support their environmental measurement, management, and leadership efforts. Their services include verification, software, consultancy, renewable energy, science-based targets and more. Read more about the program here

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders for regional initiatives on climate action and sustainable finance;
  • Account management of a small number of corporate partners, with potential for this aspect of the role to grow. Meeting high quality execution of corporate partnership deliverables including, but not limited to, onboarding, optimizing visibility, conducting webinars, and supporting technical inquiries;
  • Driving CDP’s broader partnerships and stakeholder engagement activities, particularly around events/webinars and related deliverables;
  • Liaising and project coordination for events and projects across the region
  • Cooperating with CDP Hong Kong corporate engagement team to support and enhance CDP disclosure rates in the region.

Essential skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years of work experience in a corporate or NGO environment
  • Event management experience
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle projects independently.
  • Excellent English skills (verbal and written). Fluency in Chinese and/or another Southeast Asian language is an advantage.
  • Keen interest in corporate environmental sustainability issues
  • Strong attention to detail and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proactive attitude and drive to take ownership and responsibility for particular areas of work as well as ability to work in a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint etc)

The candidate will work 5 days per week and must be eligible to work legally in Hong Kong.

Salary and benefits: Competitive NGO salary, annual discretionary bonus, 24 days’ holiday and others.
