Senior Disclosure Operations Officer

Job Purpose and Background

Are you excited by the opportunity to contribute significantly to the vital work of CDP by supporting the companies, cities, states and regions who use our disclosure platform to report their sustainability data? Do you enjoy working with data systems, contributing to team development and providing great customer service to both internal and external stakeholders through creative problem solving?

You will utilise your engagement and data management skills to help deliver first rate support to the tens of thousands of requested organisations globally who utilise CDP in their drive towards environmental sustainability.

This role supports the effective delivery of CDP’s core disclosure operations for corporations, cities, states and other CDP stakeholders globally, with focus on the Latin America region but ongoing support for our other global areas of operation. You will provide high-standard, day-to-day support in CDP’s disclosure helpdesk, supporting disclosers in a timely and effective manner.

You will also undertake processes that will support the Disclosure Operations Team in meeting its objectives, covering a wide range of areas such as translations, data reporting, testing, process documentation, communications and regional team training.

Further, through our supply chain operations work, you will help provide essential and valuable analytics and data products to CDP’s integral supply chain members. The role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within CDP and externally, to analyse complex data and to think critically and innovatively.

About the Disclosure Operations Team

The Disclosure Operations Team (DOT) works to optimise and organise the discloser experience and disclosure processes and information for our stakeholders. This means that we work to enable disclosure to happen, bringing together the work of many teams across CDP to manage and deliver a world-class environmental disclosure system.

Core to our work is setting up, testing and supporting the systems, data and processes that make the annual disclosure process function. We work globally across all of CDP’s teams, themes and programs, providing first and second level support to disclosing organizations, through guidance resources, and replying to over 10,000 queries a year. We provide key disclosure statistics for CDP, and training to colleagues on the fundamentals of supporting disclosers. In essence, we operate CDP’s global disclosure system with excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and respond to queries from users, customers, colleagues and other stakeholders via CDP’s internal case management system and web portal;
  • Assist the Disclosure Operations Team Manager for Latin America with the recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members in the region;
  • Line management of certain Disclosure Operations Team members in Latin America (intended by August 2022);
  • Help develop our Portuguese/Spanish translation capabilities ensuring improved accessibility and consistency of regional communications;
  • Support with project management of certain task areas within disclosure operations;
  • Assist with the review, development and documentation of disclosure processes in support of knowledge management and training for regional users and colleagues;
  • Scheduled and ad hoc regional communications such as bulk mailouts and resulting response management.

You will have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria:

  • You will be a strong team player, committed to the overall success of the organisation, through great customer service, creative problem solving and a proactive approach;

  • You enjoy working with complex data and have meticulous attention to detail;
  • You thrive on giving great quality customer service;
  • You have excellent time management skills and are able to meet deadlines;
  • You have previously held a position of line management or team leadership;
  • Fluency/advanced in English, Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese;
  • You quickly grasp and master new IT systems, with a high level of proficiency in Office365 and database fluency.

  • Ideally at least 2-years experience in a similar role; technical support, project management or customer service related;
  • Experience with Dynamics365 and/or Azure DevOps (or similar);
  • Project management experience or understanding – e.g. PRINCE2, Scrum/Agile;
  • An interest in working for an environmental NGO and an understanding of and desire to promote corporate and sub-national government sustainability;
  • Successful experience in delivering training.

The role will form part of our Latin America team currently operating across Brazil and Colombia with offices in Sao Paulo, with a hybrid work policy in place to allow the ability for remote working.

Salary and benefits:

  • Competitive NGO salary per annum (pro rata)
  • Food Assistance
