Reporter Services Fellow

Job Purpose and Background:

CDP is a leading international charity founded 20 years ago to address the dangerous threat of climate change. It has since grown to become the world's foremost system for companies and cities to report on carbon emissions, water stewardship and deforestation. We operate key hubs in London, New York and Berlin with other representation in the rest of Europe, Brazil, Australia, Japan, India and China.

CDP North America (CDP NA) is an independent 501(c)3 charity, based in New York, which works in close association with other members of the CDP operation throughout the world. Our office is growing, and we are seeking a highly motivated individual with skill-sets in operations, communications and data management to support the highly motivated, successful, and ambitious Reporter Services team at CDP. CDP’s Reporter Services program works with companies to help them improve their environmental reporting through tailored support, data analytics, and thought leadership.

The Reporter Services Fellow will be based in CDP’s New York office and will report to an account manager on the Reporter Services team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for carrying out critical activities to support CDP’s Reporter Services team. The key areas of responsibility include maintaining a customer relationship management database and other trackers, supporting the development of data outputs and deliverables, and providing general support to Reporter Services members. Attention to detail, efficiency, and the highest-level of organization are fundamental to this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Account management support including onboarding of new members and updating customer relationship management database (CRM) records
  • Creating and maintaining processes for tracking key Reporter Services activities, such as sales and member success
  • Collecting and analyzing member feedback to ensure a positive member experience
  • Supporting the creation of Reporter Services data products and deliverables
  • Supporting the quality assurance and testing of data analysis outputs
  • Supporting the creation of content for webinars, events, member calls, and member meetings
  • Operational ad hoc support for Reporter Services account managers

Required skills and experience:

  • A university degree in a related subject, or pursuing such a degree
  • A very high level of organization and attention to detail
  • Confident verbal and written communication
  • An interest in using and maintaining data and databases
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • The ability to deliver excellent results under pressure
  • A good team player with the ability to work with colleagues around the world
  • Demonstrated project management and coordination skills
  • Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience in a customer relationship management (CRM) program
  • Proven success in providing effective administrative support
  • Knowledge of climate change, water risk & stewardship, deforestation issues
  • Experience in data visualization
  • Knowledge of CDP and its mission

Compensation and Expectations:

  • The fellowship is paid
  • Duration is May through September, with potential for staying on for a full-time position
  • Hourly commitment is 20-28 hours per week and can be flexible to accommodate the fellow’s schedule
