Partnerships Executive

Job purpose and background

Are you passionate about working to prevent dangerous climate change, halt deforestation and champion water security? CDP is seeking a dedicated, mission-driven Partnerships Executive to join the Partnerships team at CDP. This role represents an excellent opportunity for an individual early in their career in sustainability, or for someone looking to move into corporate sustainability from the NGO perspective.

In this varied role, you will be based in the CDP’s London office and will support the wider Partnerships team in New York, Berlin, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Sao Paulo in growing, developing and delivering the Accredited Solutions Provider program globally. You will also manage our academic data partners and a small number of accredited solutions providers.

CDP’s Accredited Solutions Provider program connects our base of thousands of disclosing companies with the providers that can support their environmental measurement, management, and leadership efforts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Management and growth of our academic data partnership program, whereby we sell and deliver CDP’s environmental data to universities;
  • Account management of a small number of partner accounts, with potential for this aspect of the role to grow. High quality execution of corporate partnership deliverables including, but not limited to, onboarding, optimizing visibility, conducting webinars, and supporting technical inquiries;
  • Researching and contacting new solutions providers via targeted outreach;
  • Administrative support for CDP’s broader partnerships team, particularly around events/webinars and related deliverables;
  • Support of the development of a strategy to grow the accredited solutions provider program in the UK and other key regions;
  • Provide administrative support to the UK based Global Head of Partnerships and work with them to generate additional income streams from a variety of sources

The precise description and nature of your job may be varied from time to time and you may be required to carry out other duties as necessary to meet business needs.

Required skills and experience:

  • Ability to multitask and juggle projects simultaneously, with a very high level of organisation and attention to detail;
  • Proven success in providing effective administrative support;
  • Interest/knowledge in issues related to the climate change, sustainability, environmental, and corporate social responsibility space;
  • Ability to work with global colleagues, and develop strong internal and external stakeholder relationships across multiple teams and time zones.
  • Excellent MS Office Suite skills (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.);
  • Degree educated or equivalent (Environment/Sustainability- related degree desirable)
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role, working in NGOs and/or commercial organisations (Desirable)
  • Experience of working in a global organisation (Desirable)
  • Additional language skills (Desirable)

This is a full-time role based at CDP’s Central London office reporting to the Senior Partnerships Manager.

Salary and benefits: £26,000 - £28,000, per annum, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, generous non-contributory pension provision, annual discretionary bonus (depending on company performance), Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, Training and development, Flexible working opportunities and other benefits.
