CDP are implementing a Data Governance Framework to manage the way we collect, use and share data throughout the organisation. The Data Steward role will be leading this implementation throughout CDP and be responsible for Establish the data quality framework with policies and standards. In addition, the role will enforce and automate data quality monitoring and assurance with emphasis on improving the completeness and accuracy of the information we use to ensure one version of the truth.
The Data Governance & Quality Manager role offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate with strong data skills and experience in data governance. Experience of driving data quality improvement programmes, data mapping / data migration, data profiling and data management projects are also key. Data skills will be accompanied by an ability to communicate persuasively and effectively at all levels within CDP. The Data Governance & Quality Manager will define data elements and establishes policies and procedures related to the collection and accuracy of data.
This varied role requires stakeholder management, planning, driving issues to resolution and people skills. You will work as a specialist, liaising with the technology team and collaborating with internal data stakeholders.
About CDP's Data team:
The Data Team’s primary remit is to improve the usability of the climate change, water, forests and cities data disclosed to CDP through robust and transparent methods. The team will create sustainable data pipelines for data quality monitoring, data cleaning, reporting and data science modelling. Harmonised data collected from external sources will enrich the data assets’ value and enhance accessibility for CDP’s stakeholders. The team will produce value-adding insight delivering it through data products that help internal and external stakeholders to better understand the quantitative and qualitative results of their actions. This in turn helps stakeholders to make data-led decisions and optimise for all constraints. Through every stage the data assets are governed by the industry practice standards in a robust and transparent manner.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract role for up to 24 months. It is based at CDP’s London office reporting to the Global Director, Data & Insight..
