CDP Europe, the continental-Europe entity of the world’s leading climate change charity CDP, is seeking a self-driven, highly motivated individual to lead one vital part of our engagement work with corporates – the Sales & Business Development team, responsible for memberships and sales. This team contains of our membership account managers for both the Reporter Services and the Supply Chain program, as well as the outreach staff for Water, Forests and Commit to Action. The team leader also manages a few Reporter Services members directly.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience from the corporate world, in the context of sustainability, business development or sales. Some experience in managing a small team is helpful, alternatively the ability to step up to this level. They will need to be able to work on their own initiative, deliver negotiations in a professional context, be able to think both analytical and pragmatic, build and maintain this high performing team and to enjoy and nurture Europe-wide corporate relationships. External credibility and correct approach to engage with major global companies are crucial.
We look for somebody who enjoys a position where mission and sales go hand in hand, as all membership programs contribute to CDPs disclosure work and our goal of a well below 2°, water-secure world. The team has a balanced set of targets, from disclosure numbers and quality to advancing companies’ sustainability strategies, increasing transparency and environmental leadership i.e. in supply chains, to income and renewal targets. It sits within the Europe corporate engagement department and coordinates closely with the regional operations team, the wider Europe team and global program teams.

The successful candidate will work five days per week and must be able to work legally in the EU. The role is located at our office in Berlin, Germany. The successful candidate will have the title “Associate Director Sales & Business Development” and report to the Director of Corporate Engagement Europe.
