CDP houses the world’s largest, most comprehensive dataset on environmental action – but as the data grows to include thousands more companies and cities each year, there is even greater potential for our data to be utilized in impactful ways. That’s why we are excited to launch a virtual data competition with Kaggle (a Google company) this October through December. Data scientists will scour environmental information provided to CDP by disclosing companies and cities, searching for solutions to our most pressing problems related to climate change, water security, deforestation and social inequity. CDP will award $90,000 in total prizes to the winners. The competition opens for entries on October 14th, with a final submission deadline of December 2nd.
Week-long virtual event running from November 30th until December 4th. Climate change will continue to reshape every aspect of the global economy, from politics to migration, financing and supply chains. The summit will bring together policymakers, business leaders, investors, insurers and scientists to discuss how organisations are preparing to adjust, and what more they should be doing. CDP Hong Kong's Regional Director Pratima Divgi will be speaking at a panel discussion on December 4th titled "Industry-developed or prescribed policy”, which will be followed by a Q&A session.
This unique two-day event for public and private sector attendees will present emerging policy developments and market insights from CDP Europe on the fight against deforestation
