CDP’s 2017 Global Forests Report Launch

How financial institutions can enable the transition to deforestation-free supply chains

CDP’s 2017 Global Forests Report Launch is taking place on November 21st from 8:00 – 10:30am in the heart of London at the London Stock Exchange

Register to attend

We are at a tipping point for the world’s forests: 15% of greenhouse gas emissions are directly caused by deforestation. 30% of mitigation efforts depend on preserving forests.

There is an estimated investment opportunity of US$200 billion annually for deforestation-free finance and investment. How will you harness this opportunity? How might deforestation impact your portfolio? What can you do about it? Join CDP and leading institutional investors as they discuss the actions the financial sector is taking to mitigate climate change through forests.

Why attend?

  • Engage with a panel of leading institutional investors as they discuss sustainable investment and corporate reporting, including Adam Kanzer, the Managing Director of Domini Impact Investments, and Ian Simm, CEO of Impax Asset Management, moderated by Agathe Grossmith, Carrefour;
  • Gain valuable insight into how corporate action on deforestation impacts investors, with the launch of CDP’s 2017 Global Forests Report;
  • Join influencers and decision makers as they exchange knowledge and perspectives on the critical issue of deforestation.

Overview of the event:

  • Network over tea, coffee and breakfast from 8:00 – 8:30 am with leading investors, companies and NGOs in deforestation mitigation.
  • Hear the presentation of the results of CDP’s 2017 Global Forests Report.
  • Debate how financial institutions are influential actors in the transition to deforestation-free supply chains.
  • Join the conversation shaping the future of sustainable investment in deforestation.

There are a limited number of places available at this free-of-charge event; please register promptly to secure your attendance. Full agenda to follow.
