# CDP Disclosure 2026

Environmental disclosure enables organizations to uncover data and insights that offer immediate value, while building long-term resilience.

Last year, over 23,100 organizations responded to the continued market demand for disclosure data. This year, we are laser-focused on simplifying the disclosure process with better guidance and other improvements.

**The response window is now open for the 2026 cycle.**

## Key dates 2026

##### Despite rollbacks of European sustainability reporting rules, investor and market demand for environmental data remains strong.

Leading European companies aren't waiting for policy certainty; they are already acting. In the past year alone, they cut emissions about 60% faster than their peers and unlocked €67 billion in financial opportunities.

From decarbonisation across the value chain to unlocking green financing, businesses including [Bosch](/en/insights/bosch.md) and [Electrolux Group](/en/insights/electrolux-group-turning-environmental-data-into-strategic-advantage.md) are using CDP disclosure data to get ahead.

##### Climate disclosure is increasingly moving from a peripheral reporting requirement to a core element of board and management decision‑making.

This is enabling companies to better manage climate risks, strengthen long‑term resilience, and capture opportunities from the low‑carbon transition.

Explore key trends, progress and challenges in China’s climate disclosure landscape in our report, [‘From a “Choice” to a “Must‑Answer”: Climate Disclosure Reshaping Business Resilience and Competitiveness’](https://www.cdp.net/en/insights/cdp-china-climate-disclosure-report-2025), drawing on 2025 disclosure data from Mainland China.

## Letter to the Board

CDP’s ‘Letter to the Board’ is sent to a company’s senior stakeholders, annually. It is a formal invitation to disclose environmental information on behalf of their investors via CDP’s corporate questionnaire.

In 2026, CDP’s Capital Markets Signatories – over 540 financial institutions with US$110+ trillion in assets – are requesting over 43,000 organizations to disclose data which can be used to inform business and financing decisions.

This is proof that **the market values and continues to demand comprehensive environmental information**.

### Who is CDP?

CDP runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system with unparalleled depth and breadth across regions, sectors and environmental issues. We are repeatedly ranked as a market leader for quality and usefulness by sustainability professionals (Source: ERM Sustainability Institute).

CDP data – both scored and unscored – is utilized by a huge range of stakeholders.

Learn more [about CDP](/en/about.md) and the [benefits of disclosing](/en/disclose/why-disclose.md).

### How is CDP's questionnaire aligned with frameworks and standards?

CDP disclosure provides unrivalled alignment with the growing body of environmental frameworks and standards. By bringing frameworks and standards together in one questionnaire we simplify the process, making it easier to share information back to the market in one dataset.

CDP’s corporate questionnaire already has strong alignment with the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). This year, we are deepening our alignment with the TNFD, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Science Based Targets Network (SBTN), Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Global Commitment on Plastics.
