The Mayor of London is working with partners CDP, C40 Cities Global Alliance for Climate (C40), The B Team, the We Mean Business coalition, with funding from the Ikea Foundation., to accelerate London corporates' and the Mayor of London's progress against respective and mutually dependent targets, by combining influence and innovation to deliver their climate strategies. The initiative puts London at the forefront of global cities acting on climate change, inspiring and influencing other cities to create similar business-city partnerships, helping to put the world on track to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.
The partnership seeks to build an effective collaboration framework to drive climate action faster and help make London a zero-carbon city by 2050. It will enable companies to turn their global climate commitments into local actions. It will catalyse the London business community to report on their London specific carbon emissions and to commit to a series of local actions to meet short and longer-term carbon reduction goals.

Formed of 11 high profile companies with London HQ or major London-based operations, all recognised as climate leaders through their commitment to the Science-Based Targets initiative, their CDP A or A- score, We Mean Business commitments (RE100, EP1000, EV100) and global ambitious goals for 2050.
The businesses have committed to reducing emissions from their London-based business operations and will share new ways of sustainable working. They will also use their joint influence to encourage other London businesses to do the same, explore how to apply their collective purchasing power and inspire the wider business community to follow their lead, in London and in cities around the world.
