CDP wins Best Climate Change Research in Extel-IRRI survey for the third year in a row

April 06 2018

CDP, the global environmental impact non-profit, has been recognized in the latest Extel Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) survey for producing the best climate change research based on its in-depth reports on seven impact industry sectors.
More than 1,100 investment professionals across 43 countries participated in the annual global survey conducted by Extel and SRI-CONNECT.
CDP’s research team was recognized for its leading work in the following categories:

  • Number 1 for climate change research
  • Number 5 for Specialist Research: Data Category
  • Number 5 for SRI research

Carole Ferguson, Head of Investor Research at CDP said: “We are delighted to be recognized for the third year running as the global leader of climate change research. Investors have a key role to play in shifting capital to drive forward the low carbon transition, and our research gives investors the framework to assess how well companies and sectors are positioned for this transition.”
Launched in February 2015, CDP’s research series provides in-depth analysis to investors, linking climate change metrics for each sector to financial performance. The most recent report delves into the automotive sector: Driving Disruption while reports on the chemicals, mining and utilities sectors were released last year.
