In 2012, CDP analyzed responses of over 225 participating businesses with operations in Ireland. This analysis provides a unique insight into the actions being taken to address climate change by many, if not most, of Ireland’s largest employers.
The report was launched by Fergus O’Dowd TD, Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources and Environment, Community and Local Government, at the offices of KPMG in Dublin in early October.
The launch of the report was followed by a discussion of its implications, in the context of consideration currently being given to drafting a climate change law for Ireland, between Laura Burke (Director General of the Irish EPA), Brian Motherway (Chief Executive of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) and Rory O’Donnell (Director of the National Economic and Social Council) with Peter Brennan (Managing Director, EPS Consulting) in the chair.
