Our small, dedicated IT team is responsible for the development and support of our core reporting platform including our Online Reporting System, our data analysis system and our general office systems.  In partnership with our Global Technology Partner, Accenture, we aim to deliver an efficient, innovative and comprehensive service to our colleagues, members, disclosing companies and the wider community.

We are a Microsoft shop, using Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, C# and .net, and SQL Server to build the services we provide.  Our in-house team includes developers, support staff, testers and business analysts.

 Business systems analyst

You’ll work as part of our IT team, taking responsibility for delivering small changes and projects or working within a larger project team. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand business needs and translate those into clear, comprehensive definitions of requirements using appropriate tools and techniques, including process definitions, use cases, data models and wireframes.
  • Liaise with developer teams, in house and offshore in Hyderabad, to ensure that delivered software meets business needs
  • Plan and carry out delivery testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing
  • Manage small projects, and coordinate our Scrum-based development management process.

Skills and experience:

  • A strong affinity for our mission
  • Experience of business analysis methods and techniques including requirements gathering, UML, data modelling and process engineering.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methods
  • Experience of testing methods and a keen attention to detail
  • Experience using formal project management methods such as Prince 2
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Familiarity with some or all of SharePoint 2010, Dynamics CRM 2011,, SQL Server, SSRS
Due to a request within the existing team we are keen to hear from applicants for this role who wish to work part time, 3-4 days per week, although we are also happy to consider full-time applications.  Salary will be pro-rata .
